How did you meet?
We were both out on the town with our respected friends, playing “wingman” for the night. We both were not looking to start any type of relationship, but continued to hang out with the group. As fate will have it three years later my groom to be proposed!! We look back on that time and laugh at how we just happened to meet each other at a bar and now we are going to spend the rest of our lives together.
My fiance (boyfriend at the time) had just purchased a new truck. He suggested that we go out to a fancy dinner to celebrate the new purchase. Now this was odd to me because he had just spent a lot of money and he wanted to go spend more on a nice dinner. He also made reservations which he never does. The entire situation was slightly out of the ordinary for him but I let it go. The reason for this was my father at the time lived in Texas. I knew that he had not seen my father to ask for my hand in marriage so there was no way that he was going to propose. So we went out for a lovely dinner and when we pulled back in the driveway there were rose petals all the way up to the front door. My heart dropped not knowing if this was a romantic gesture or something more. As he walked me to the door he explained how he had flown to Texas the week prior and spoke with my father and asked his permission to marry me. He then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I was so surprised and shocked he had to ask me twice because I did not hear him the first time! His whole goal was to surprise me and he succeeded. He designed a beautiful ring with the Rottermond group.
I can not wait to start our future lives together!
