Our Engagement Story: On Christmas Eve, we were headed out for a whirlwind day of visiting family. Jason kept insisting he needed to call his “banker” to see if something had gone through in his bank account. I couldn’t understand why he couldn’t just call the bank and see so he wouldn’t have to worry, but I also kept telling him the bank wouldn’t be open on Christmas Eve. He kept saying it would be. Finally, while we were in the car on the way to my family’s house to celebrate Christmas, Jason called his “banker.” Well, it turns out his banker was really Eileen from Rottermond! I didn’t know that at the time, he played it off really well. I was sitting right next to him and had no idea! But anyway, Jason arranged for the ring to be picked up at Rottermond by his father since the ring came in later than anticipated. Jason’s father picked up the ring and then basically broke into our house to hide it for Jason while we were all enjoying a Christmas dinner. I kept hoping Jason was going to propose at Christmas with my family, little did I know the ring wasn’t even in his possession and had just been placed in our house. Christmas Eve excitement came and went and I started to get a little bummed out, knowing that we didn’t have many big plans for Christmas Day and that I must have got my hopes up. Jason did a pretty good job at convincing me that he wasn’t ready to propose too 😉 However, Christmas morning came and after all the presents were opened, one of which was a beautiful necklace from Rottermond, there was one more left. “Hidden in the tree,” he said. After a little searching, I found another jewelry box. This time it was my gorgeous ring! Jason got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
Thanks to everyone at Rottermond for all your help!”
