How did you meet?

Keith and I  were co-workers at the Hospital we worked at in Bronx, NY.  We had many mutual friends and worked together in the Rehabilitation department for three years.  Keith and I were co-workers and friends, but soon to be a couple (unbeknownst to either one of us).  One day we started talking and there was a spark that had never been there before.  We began to date in August 2010 and have been together everyday since 🙂 A true example of sometimes what you are searching for is right in front of you… and for us it was that easy.

Engagement Story:  My sister lives in Michigan and back in 2011 she married her husband at St. Johns in Plymouth.  Keith and I were in town before the wedding and were running errands with the soon to be married couple. One of the errands was to go pick up wedding bands from Rottermonds.  As we entered the store of course I perused around and I saw a teardrop ring that caught my eye.  There were only two teardrop rings in the store Keith and I asked Eileen if I could try one on.   When I put the ring on my finger , my heart started to race and I definitely had the moment.  I knew that this was the ring I wanted and told Keith, ” Please … if you are to ever propose I want this ring from this store!!”  Sure enough, Keith kept in contact with Eileen and he arranged to have the ring sent to our home in NY.  He held onto the ring until the day he proposed.  On September 5th in Aruba it happened… It was our last day of vacation and we had dinner at a beautiful restaurant on the beach with another couple we had met.  The setting was perfect,  There was a stunning sunset, dinner on the beach, feet in the ocean, good company and amazing food.  We were about to pay the check and head back to the hotel and I noticed a dessert plate with a sparkler coming toward me.  The waiter placed it down in front of me and the words will you marry me were written.  Next thing I know  , Keith was on bended knee in the sand next to me and asked my hand in marriage.  It still brings tears to my eyes to retell the story.  He proposed with the teardrop ring I tried on in Rottermonds back in 2011…He had it the whole time without me knowing .  He totally pulled it off! Thank you Eileen for helping Keith carry this through.  My ring is exactly what I wanted and with the perfect man by my side now life is just wonderful.  See you soon for wedding bands!
